LaVerne John Charlet, 83, of Paducah, KY, formerly of Galva, IL, died Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Calvert City, KY.
LaVerne was born in Burns Township, IL on August 23, 1934 to Walter R. Charlet and Isabel H. Lindbeck Charlet. He was the owner of LC Tanks, a liquid and semi-liquid waste removal equipment sales business. An avid golfer, LaVerne was a member of Drake Creek Golf Club.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Sandra Jane McFadon Charlet; two daughters, Lynette (Kevin) Yepsen of Galva, IL and Cindy Carroll of Lafayette, IL; stepson, Michael Maher of Florida; granddaughter, Markie VanDevelde of Galva, IL; five step-grandchildren, Kristen, Mikey, Max, Zach and Jackson Maher all of Florida; and two sisters, Marcy Inness of Galesburg, IL and Eileen Kenney of California.
Preceding him in death were a sister, Marvis Terry of Alamo, CA and his parents.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Galva, IL.
