Krista Lynn Mitchell, 53, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 8:23 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Tristar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany. Krista was a Kindergarten Aide at Reidland Elementary School. She was a 1981 graduate of Reidland High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Murray State University.
Krista was a member of Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church and St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church. Krista was a devoted wife, loving mother and loved her family, friends and her work at the school.
She is survived by her husband, Pete Mitchell of Paducah, Kentucky; son, Ethan Thomas Mitchell of Paducah, Kentucky; parents, Ken and Betty Roberts Underwood of Paducah, Kentucky; sister, Leigh Ann Underwood Alton and husband Kevin of Paducah, Kentucky; niece Hannah Leigh Alton of Paducah, Kentucky.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Tim Threatt officiating.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Woodlawn Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
