Julie Lee Montgomery, age 59, Lone Oak, KY passed away at 9:23 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. Julie was a long time member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and a 1976 graduate of Lone Oak High School. Julie was also a member of the Lone Oak High School girls basketball team. She was a registered nurse and worked 28 years at Western Baptist Hospital. Julie loved her family and was active in all the sports that involved her children.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Robert Keith Montgomery; one son, Chad (Mary) Montgomery of Hendersonville, TN; one daughter, Ashley (David) Johnson and two grandchildren, Trent and Addison of Wiggins, MS; parents, Ben Buchanan and June Buckingham Buchanan of Lone Oak, KY; one brother, Greg (Marla) Buchanan, Paducah, KY; one sister, Becky (Paul) Bowman; father-in-law and mother-in-in-law, Tom and Janet Montgomery, Paducah, KY; three neices, Megan (Ryan) Mitchell, Shannon Bowman, Kelly Montgomery and one nephew, Sean Johnson; several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Lone Oak First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Lone Oak First Baptist Church from noon until service time of 2:00 p.m.
