(Sarah) Josephine Elrod Little, age 91 of Murray, passed away at 12:24 pm on April 23, 2015 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.
Ms. Little was a former member of Northside Methodist Church. She worked making wedding gowns at the Bridal Original Fashions in St. Louis, MO., and also worked at the International Shoe Factory in Paducah, Ky. She helped with cattle on the farm with her husband.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Louise Greening of Jackson, MI; several nieces, nephews and cousins from Michigan, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Little of Cahokia, IL; companion and friend, Charles “Bud” Hammond formerly of Kokomo, IN; one step-son, Larry Little; parents, James Woodard “Wood” and Cleopatra “Cleo” Green Elrod; one sister, Bernice Page Snodgrass; three brothers, James Merle Elrod, Robert Thomas Elrod, Clarence Rudy Elrod.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday April 29, 2015 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Randy Stacey and Rev. Jim Elrod officiating. Burial will follow at New Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kevil, Ky.
Visitation for Ms. Little will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday April 28, 2015 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
