John C. “Smiling Jack” Walsh, 91, of Paducah passed away at 12:01 am on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Mercy Health in Paducah.
Mr. Walsh was a Switchman for ICGRR, a veteran of the Navy during WWII, member of Douglas H. Fox Tin Can Sailors, attended Bellview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Gladys Walsh of Paducah; three children, Tom Walsh and wife Jane of Hardmoney, Vickie of Paducah, Vanessa Walsh of Paducah; one sister, Carol Crane of Paducah; one grandson, John Thomas Walsh Jr. of Paducah; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford F. Walsh and Carrie (Duncan) Walsh); two brothers, Joe and Jim Walsh; three sisters, Marian, Rita and Susie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Mike Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the funeral home.
