Joan Elizabeth Hille, 64, of Paducah, passed away at 2:10 p.m. on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Lourdes Hospital. Mrs. Hille was born November 7, 1949 in Metropolis, IL, was a graduate of Massac County High School and a graduate of SIU Carbondale. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and retired after 25 years of teaching with Massac County School System and St. Mary’s School System.
Mrs. Hille is survived by her husband, Wayne Hille; her children, Michelle Wright and husband Rick of La Marque, TX, Michael Hille and wife Kelly of Brookport, IL, Jennifer Hille of Brookport, IL, Angie Willett and husband Chad of Lone Oak, KY; grandchildren, Chris Legereit of League City, TX, Justin Legereit of Hitchcock, TX, Ali Hille of Brookport, IL, Zack Hille of Brookport, IL, Jackson, Brooke and Raegan Willett of Lone Oak, KY; step grandchild, Ali Wright of Hitchcock, TX; great grandchild, Peyton Legereit of League City, TX; sisters and brothers, Carol Bohlman of Washington, IL, Teresa Callihan of Gilbertsville, IL, Mary Margaret Martin of Justice, IL, Joey Harrison of Decatur, TX, Jim Harrison of Scottsdale, AZ and Allen Harrison of Metropolis, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Margaret Sutton Harrison.
A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Brian Roby and Rev. Tom Buckman officiating. Burial will follow at Massac Memorial Gardens in Metropolis, IL.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m.
