Joan Cullen Kirkwood was born on August 10, 1934 and went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July, 22, 2014.
Joan was a member of Rosebower Baptist Church and devoted her life to caring for the children at her church, at Reidland Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of Paducah. She loved all animals and was fiercely protective of them. Joan was an avid UK Wildcat fan and she had been the manager of Roberto’s in Paducah.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Kirkwood Wood and husband Greg Wood of Clarksville TN; her daughter Mitzi Kirkwood of Paducah KY; her granddaughter and grandson in-law, Amanda Pennington and Payton Pennington of Murray KY; and her granddaughter Rachel Rudolph of Clarksville TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh W. Kirkwood and her parents John Wallace Cullen and Katherine Reynolds Cullen.
Funeral services for Joan will be 10:00 am Friday, July, 25, 2014 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Payton Pennington officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 pm at Cullen Cemetery in Providence KY.
Visitation for Joan will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
