James L. (Jimmie) Edwards
Jimmie Edwards, age 86, of Paducah, passed away at his residence at 10:51 pm Sunday, Septmeber 3, 2017.
He was a graduate of the Heath High School Class of 1949 and a lifelong farmer. He was a charter member of Concord United Methodist Church and a member of the Men’s Thursday Morning Prayer Group. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bobbie Moody Edwards and one daughter, Jane Edwards Miller and husband Bill of Paducah and two sons, Donnie Edwards and wife Shirlonda of Paducah and David Edwards and wife Sandi of West Paducah. He leaves behind five grandchildren; Justin Edwards and wife Trish, Caitlin Pace, Ashley Edwards, Kasondra Barnett and husband David, Daniel Edwards and five great-grandchildren; Lily Jane Pace, Alisondra Barnett, Crafton Barnett, Isabelle Edwards and Trason Tharp and several nieces and nephews.
Jimmie Edwards was preceded in death by his parents Dent and Dora Lovett Edwards and a brother Joe Edwards.
Funeral services for James L. (Jimmie) Edwards will be Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 11:00 am at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah. Rev. Dean Emerson will officiate and burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 6, 2014 from 5-8:00 pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
