James Kendrick Wallace, Jr. of Lone Oak, Kentucky, passed away at 89 on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Paducah.

 

Mr. Wallace was a Self-employed home builder in the area for over 40 years. He was a member of Highland Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Woodmen Life and the Cumberland Pioneers. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army (Corps of Eng) serving in Germany and Australia during the Korean conflict. James enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

 

James is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marlene (Brannon) Wallace; his son, Stanley C. (Beverly) Wallace of Salem; his daughters, Lois Wallace of Indianapolis, IN, and Peggy (Ron) Chaves of McCordsville, IN, four grandchildren, Daniel (Rachel) Wallace of Brandenburg, KY, Jason Wallace of Paducah, Leah Kendrick and Jacob Kendrick Chaves of McCordsville, IN; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Katie and Alec Wallace; two sisters, Judy Dyer of Blairsville, GA and Nancy (Lynn) Jones of Calvert City; six brothers, Donald (Joyce) Wallace of Paducah, Edwin (Colleen) Wallace of Reidland, Danny Joe (Jeanette) Wallace of Symsonia, Larry (Linda) Wallace of Reidland, Preston (Kathleen) Wallace of Atlanta, GA and John Wallace of Symsonia; several nieces and nephews; three sister-in-laws, Willabee Wallace of Symsonia, Janet Wallace of Symsonia and Pat Wallace of Lone Oak.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Kendrick Wallace, Sr. and Nola V. (Willie) Wallace; three sisters, Louise Sullivan, Mary Elizabeth Moyers and Martha Sue Suggs; three brothers, Edward Wallace, David Wallace and Clifton Wallace.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Highland Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Paducah with Rev. Bud Russell and Rev. Doug Hughes officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.

 

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to service time on Saturday at Highland Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
