J.T. Carneal, 78, of Paducah passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.
Mr. Carneal was a businessman who owned several local businesses including Reidland Clothing, D.C. Contracting, and Paducah Medical. He was a Duke of Paducah, KY Colonel, and member of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Grahamville Masonic Lodge and New Liberty United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching UK Basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Surviving are two daughters, Suzanne (Greg) Roberts of West Paducah, Angie Kennedy of Brookport; two sons, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Carneal of Franklin, TN, Logan Carneal of Paducah; one brother, Carlton M. Carneal of Jackson, TN; one sister, Mary Christian of Paducah; nine grandchildren, Ryan Roberts, Preston Roberts, Megan Carneal, Rachel Roberts, Kayla Carneal, Clayton Carneal, Bradley Kennedy, David Kennedy, and Aaron Kennedy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Monroe Carneal and Vernona Marie Parker Carneal.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Monday, June 27, 2016 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Revs. Wayne Carter and Joel Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at New Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday at the funeral home with Masonic Rites taking place at 7:00pm.
