Howard Martin Thomas, 97, of Paducah, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Gaither Suites at West Park.
Mr. Thomas was a Mechanical Engineer for Wurlitzer Company (Piano’s, Organs and Juke Boxes). He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church, a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and loved to build, design and fly radio controlled model airplanes.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife of 74 years, Clara King Thomas; three daughters, Gail Reynolds of Marietta, Ohio, Dori Sweet of Alpina, Michigan, Barb Noble and husband Robert of Norwak, Connecticut; five grandchildren, Drew (Karen) Reynolds, Nathan (Maria) Sweet, Andrew (Alexandra) Sweet, Jessica Noble, Robert Noble; five great-grandchildren, Hudson, Finley and Magnolia Reynolds, Luella and Magnolia Sweet; sister, Dorothy Loeschke of Niagara Falls, New York.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Orville Thomas. His parents where Gay Lawrence Thomas and Elizabeth Krause Thomas.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. A private family Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
