Helen Louise (Jackson) Thompson, age 92, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at her home. Helen was a homemaker, of Christian faith and a member of Symsonia Baptist Church. She was a sweet, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother that dearly loved her family and friends.
Helen is survived by her children; Vicki (Johnny) Hamm of Symsonia, KY, Donna (Pete) Galloway of Sedalia, KY, and Jeff (Mary) Thompson of Symsonia, KY one sister, Joy Cope of Paducah, KY; seven grandchildren, Tara (Brent) Shelton, Paducah, KY, Chad (Nikki) Hamm of Louisville, KY, Brittany (Daniel) Farr of Murray, KY, Keri (Jeremy) Cornwell of Boaz, KY, Jordan (Josh) Doggett of Boaz, KY and Taylor and Riley Thompson of Symsonia, KY; fourteen great-grandchildren, Payton, Breckyn, and Brody Hamm, Loren and Chase Shelton, Aiden and Grady Farr, Albany, Tytan, and Luke Doggett, Piper Thompson, Madelyn, Landon and Carley Dowdy; several nieces and nephews; wonderful neighbors, Delmer and Susie Smith of Symsonia, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Luke Thompson; parents, Franklin Gard Jackson & Lottie Jackson Brookshire; three sisters, Eva Jackson, Jane Henson and Segal Whitis; three brothers, Charles, Harold and Zelmer Jackson.
Services will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Symsonia Baptist Church with Brother Rick Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Clarks River Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Symsonia Baptist Church.
