Harvey Duffy, 17 of Paducah, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019.
Harvey was a tile installer with Darrell Strickland Global Maintenance Machine Shop. His laughter and spirit can be seen in everything around us, especially the running water where he was most happy. Harvey’s passion and true love was fishing. Everyone that knew Harvey knew him for his big heart. He loved his Heavenly Father Jehovah God. He loved making people laugh and he was always ready to help others. He had so many talents. He loved working with metal and was quite the artist. His creativity and love for music, life, animals, and fishing was contagious. He will be missed by so many and his dog, Tucker.
Surviving Harvey are his parents, Tina Duffy and Brian (Autumn) Duffy; two sisters, Sadie Duffy and Josie Duffy; two brothers, Collin Henson and Ty Thomas; grandparents Bill and Cheryl Cooney, Ray and Karen Duffy, and Marilyn Pratt; great grandmother Alice (Granny) Bayard; aunts and uncles, Danny Cooney, Stephanie Fisher, Patrick Duffy, and April (Pat) Buckley; seven cousins, other extended family, and many friends.
Harvey is preceded in death by one grandmother, Laurna Dallas; one uncle, Michael Cooney; and one aunt Renee Cooney.
“Never stop praying. Always be joyful. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 was Harvey’s favorite scripture.
Two services for Harvey will be held. One will be September 28, 2019 at the Faith Center (4456 Hansen Road) in Paducah. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a memorial service at 12:00 pm. A memorial talk will be held October 5, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (3035 Parker Street) in Paducah.
