Gladys Irene Ries, 88, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Heritage Manor Health Care in Mayfield, Kentucky. She was born in Pickens, Oklahoma. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a homemaker.
Gladys is survived by her daughter, Pam Ries Gourley and husband Mike of Hickory, Kentucky; son, Patrick Ries of Cunningham, Kentucky; brother, Eston Sheffield; two grandchildren, Tiffany Osborne of Hickory, Kentucky and Taryn Burnett of Melber, Kentucky; six great grandchildren, Taylor, Kassidy, Madison, Willlow, Jaymi, Jake and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick “Bud” Ries; three sisters; one brother. Her parents were Virgil and Grace Walters Sheffield.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. T. L. Futral officiating.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
