George W. Mabry, 90, of Melber, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Paducah, Kentucky. He was born in Lowes, Kentucky. George worked for Youngbloods Hardware in Mayfield for 40 years and for West Kentucky Rural Telephone Company for 25 years. He was a member of the Folsomdale Church of Christ.
George is survived by his wife of 65 years, Hedia Clark Travis Mabry; sons, Michael Mabry and wife Kathy of Crittenden, KY and Dr. Tim Mabry and wife Bridget of Paducah, KY; seven grandchildren, Ryan Mabry, Michaela Mabry, Christian Mabry, Kelley Mabry, Hannah Mabry, Grace Mabry, Sophia Mabry and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Estelle Seay; brother, Will Ed Mabry; half sisters, Allene Morris and Maurine Violett; half brother, Verble Mabry. His parents were Robert Ed Mabry and Gladys Thomas Mabry.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Mr. Jerry Senn and Mr. Gary Knuckles officiating. Burial will follow in the Pottsville Church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Thompson, Mark Whitis, Jeff Mabry, Johnny Sears, Ryan Mabry, Christian Mabry, Dr. Randy Travis, Ricky Travis, Chris Travis and Jimmy Jones.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
