Gary M. Kettler, age 77, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 3:33 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Lourdes.
Mr. Kettler was born on April 9, 1940. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. He retired several years ago from the Banking industry and was a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran.
Gary is survived by his wife of 25 years, Betty Byrd Kettler; one daughter, Jan Kettler of Paducah, Kentucky; a step daughter, Robyn Hoxworth and husband Randy of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; a step son, Ricky Thompson and wife Wanda of Henderson, Nevada; a granddaughter, Carlee Hoxworth of Edwardsville, Illinois; a sister, Mary Karen Curtis and husband Phillip of Paducah, Kentucky; sister-in-law Phyllis Kettler; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Kettler. His parents were Fred M. and Elizabeth Irene Hobbs Kettler.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Rev. Brad Whistle officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Military Honors.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m.
