Elizabeth “Liz” Day, age 49, of Paducah, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 at her home after a hard fought, courageous battle with cancer. Liz was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church where she was active in the youth ministry as well as the women’s conferences. She was a graduate of Mayfield High School and Murray State University where she received a degree in Marketing. Liz enjoyed travel and along with her job as a pharmaceutical rep, she spent time helping a friend as a travel agent which provided many friends and relatives a great opportunity to see some great places. Liz was co-owner and secretary of The Blind Place business. Liz enjoyed traveling, vacations to Mexico, University of KY Basketball was an avid runner and most importantly being with her family.
If she found a person in need, it was a reason to help, and if you needed advice she could either lend an ear or find the answer to your question.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Todd Day; one daughter, Reagan Day; father and step-mother, John Phillip & Carolyn Domke of Mayfield, KY; one brother, John “Phil” Phillip & Deborah Domke of Eddyville, KY; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bobby & Lauri Ezell of Paducah; one niece Robin (Heath) Lemond; and one nephew, Conner Ezell.
Preceding in death was her mother, Pamela Ann Jones Domke.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
