Mr. Dwain E. Adams, age 85 of Paducah, KY passed away Monday, July 10, 2017, at Diversicare in Fulton, KY. He was a veteran of the US Army, and was a member of the American Legion. He was a retired construction worker for W.E. O'Neill and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Gilbertsville, KY.
Born Sunday, November 22, 1931 in Murray, KY, he was the son of the late Hill Adams and the late Vivian (Edwards) Adams.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Linda (Moore) Adams of Paducah, KY, sons, Mike McClelland of Benton, KY, Tim McClelland, wife Carol of Willow Brook, IL and Danny Brummitt of Pittsburgh, PA, daughter, Janet Warta, husband Dave of Lakeland, FL, brothers, Bobby Adams of Kirksey, KY and John Adams of Reidland, KY, sisters, Emma Rushing of Murray, KY, Anna Flood of Mayfield, KY, grandchildren, David Warta, Eric Warta, Justin Warta, Joseph McClelland, Danny Brummitt, Dean Brummitt, Brittany Gills, Kala Parrish, Matt McClelland, Jenna McClelland, and great-grandchildren, Carson, Danielle, Chayce, Annamaria, Beaux, and Alvin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Hugh Adams, Hal Adams and Jim Adams, and sister, Betty Blackburn.
A Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. Dale Greenwell will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens, Murray, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY 42025.
