Dorothy Marie Friant Myre, age 92, of Greenville, IN formerly of Paducah, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at her home.
She was born on January 11, 1924 in Paducah to George and Myrtle Rutherford Friant. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Paducah and was a great caregiver and a great cook. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, sewing and taking care of her family.
Dorothy is survived by her loving dauther, Gloria Howie; grandchildren Jennifer Myre Evans (Scott) and Christopher Ryan Howie; daughter-in-law, Rose Myre; 2 great-grandchildren, Spencer Ellis and Amanda Deal.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Myre and a son, Edwin Paul Myre.
Visitation for Dorothy Myre will be Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11:30 am at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with graveside services at 1:00 PM at Maplelawn Park Cemetery with Rev. Topper Council officiating.
