Dorothy Mae Siegelman, age 80 of Paducah, KY and formerly of Cairo, IL passed away at 10:20 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Baptist Health of Paducah.
Dorothy Mae was of strong Christian faith and attended church wherever she lived. She was retired from Burkart Foam. Dorothy Mae enjoyed quilting and sharing them with her with friends and family. She also enjoyed bowling for many years and loved to read especially her Bible. She loved to cook and loved to be doing for family and friends.
She is survived by four daughters, Sharon Fesmire (Bob) of Lone Oak , KY, Janet Ransom of Murphysboro, IL, Brenda O’Hara of Hendersonville, TN, Debbie Siegelman of San Diego, CA and one son, Robert Siegelman (Wendy) of Metropolis, IL; nine grandchildren, Erica Jones Turner (Jeff), Jessica Jones Lee (Rudy), Candace Poole Jackson (Brett), Whitney Logsdon, Stephanie Ransom Hanson (Chad), Bethany Ransom (Tim Smerken), Richard Ransom (Amanda), Joseph Siegelman, Jessica Erin Siegelman; great-grandchildren, Hannah Turner, Olivia Lee, Mazi Lee, Harley Ransom, Henry Ransom, Haven Ransom, Zebediah Hanson, Isabella Hanson, Dillon Jackson and Addison Jackson; one sister, Mildred Camp of Marinette, WI; one brother, Floyd Cavanaugh, Cairo, IL; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Siegelman was preceded in death by her husband James J. “Blinkie” Siegelman and her parents were Edgar and Bernice Holmes Cavanaugh and one grandson, Marcus Ransom.
Services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Barnett officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Charleston, MO.
