Doris Louise Baker Penix, 87, of Fairfax, VA, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at her home.
Doris was born in Paducah, KY on August 30, 1928, to William and Mincie Baker. She was an avid bridge player, enthusiastic gardener, warm and inviting hostess and proud member of Margaret Hank Memorial Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Ray Allen, of Pennsville, NJ and Joan Duffitt and husband David, of Fairfax, VA; her granddaughters, Lisa Marie Hoffman and husband Duke, of Pennsville, NJ and Kimberly Rae Drabold and husband Harry, of Newark, DE; her great grandchildren, Ryan and Seth Hoffman, of Pennsville, NJ and Haylie Rae and Kameron Drabold, of Newark, DE.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Ray Burnett Penix; her son, Randy Keith Penix; and her parents, William Marvin Baker and Mincie Katherine Bryant Baker.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am, with funeral services following at 11:00 am Thursday, June 2 ,2016 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Terry L. Penix officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
