Cynthia Lovett Bippert, 77, a Paducah native, went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ at 2:17 p.m., Monday, September 4, 2017, at Meadowood Assisted Living and Memory Care at the Vineyards in Grapevine, Texas.

A native of Paducah, Cindy graduated in 1958 from North Marshall County High School. Following graduation, she attended the Washington University Mallinckrodt Institute at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her degree as a Radiology Technologist and continued to work at Barnes Hospital and in private practice.  In the early 1960’s, upon returning to Paducah, she was employed by old Lourdes Hospital as one of the first mammography technicians. She also worked for Dr. Robert Miller Orthopedics and in the general practice office of her late husband, Dr. Curtis E. Bippert.

Cindy’s loving heart, enthusiastic personality, strong work ethic and willingness to serve made her a valuable asset to the community. She served as the president of the McCracken County Medical Auxiliary in 1978-’79 and on the state medical auxiliary.  During her tenure, working with the McCracken County Health Department, she co-sponsored the first domestic violence program in the county.

During the early 1980’s, the students and staff of Paducah Tilghman High School were fortunate to have her serve in the capacity of both PTSA president, as well as president of the PTHS choir parent’s organization. She spent time joyfully welcoming visitors to the community as a Paducah Ambassador.  In addition, she loved being a member of Sisters in Christ at Broadway Church of Christ.  In her free time, Cindy, along with two cousins, spent 10 years researching the genealogy of her mother’s family. Together, their research was published in a book on the Torian family.

After her husband’s death, Cindy moved to Grapevine, TX to be with her daughter and family.  She learned to be a true Texan and got to enjoy watching her grandsons grow up. While living there, she was elected president of the residence council at Meadowood.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Curtis E. Bippert, parents Pollyanna and Carlos Ivan Lovett, sister Carol Compton and husband Gene Compton, brother and sister-in-law Warren L. Bippert and Eileen Bippert.

She is survived by a daughter, Carrie B. Blake and husband Brent Blake, grandsons Ethan and Chapman. Other surviving family members include brothers Dan Lovett, Gary Lovett and Ken Lovett and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with the funeral following at 1 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home, 120 Memorial Drive, Paducah, KY with Mr. Andrew Clausen officiating.  Private burial will take place at Mount Kenton Cemetery.
