Connie Karlay Kauffman, 76, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Santa Cruz, California. Connie was an retired Educator, teaching in the L.A. Unified School District and for the Southern California Occupational Center in Torrance, California plus several other school districts in her career. She was a member of the Heartland Worship Center. Connie was a very aggressive and dedicated Bunco Player and was a member of two Bunco groups. She was an accomplished Artist and was very compassionate for animals and giving them a loving home. Connie’s door was always open for anyone in need and loved her family dearly. She was a worldwide traveler and has been to all the Continents of the World.
Connie is survived by her daughters, Capulan Gurrola and husband Ben of Paducah, Kentucky and Tenaya Barrios of Riverside, California; sister Daveonne “Bonnie” Curry of Patterson, California; grandchildren, Cambria Goodman, Ellexis Chapman, Hunter Anderson, Trystan Gurrola, Kaelan Barrios, Brenden Barrios, Kaliska Barrios, Reyna Barrios, Mari Cruz Barrios, Ab Dias Barrios, Galy Barrios and James Barrios; nieces, Kimie, Eliah and Joshi; nephew, Sean.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Miles Kauffman. Her parents were Carl King and Pearl Hallgren King.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
