Charlotte Carneal Wilson, age 87, of Paducah, passed away at 5:30 pm on August 30, 2015 at Life Care Center in LaCenter, KY.
Mrs. Wilson graduated from Heath High School in 1947 and Paducah Beauty School in 1949. She was a member of Harmony Baptist in Grahamville, KY since she was 18 years old. She had a love of music and was a talented singer.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her daughter, Jane Ann Carneal Scelzi and husband James of Kevil, KY; two step-daughters, Susan Happell and husband Mark of Franklin, TN, Jill Wilson of Atlanta, GA; one step-son, Linn Wilson and wife Jeanette of Denver, CO; one sister, Gloria Tapp of Benton, KY; three brothers, Dwain Faircloth and wife Kaye of Las Crusas, NM, Paul Faircloth and wife Rilda of Gaston, IN, Wendal Faircloth and wife Dixie of Alexandria, IN; three grandsons, Richard Scelzi of Richmond, VA, John Michael Scelzi of Paducah, KY, Eric Scelzi of Paducah, KY; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her first husband, Willard B. Carneal; second husband, George P. Wilson; parents, Chester and Dana Edwards Faircloth; sister, Frances Whitman; two brothers, Jerald Faircloth, Arthur Lynn Faircloth.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be held at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jewell Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery in Paducah, KY.
Visitation will be held at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
