Charles Milton Lovelace, 84, of West Paducah, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Baptist Health-Paducah.

 

Charles was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on August 26, 1934 to Raymond and Averil Batchelor Lovelace.  He served as a lance corporal in the United States Marine Corps and was a life member of Disabled Veterans of America and honorary member of American Legion.  Skilled as a carpenter, Charles was a member and past president of Carpenters Union #357.  He was a member of Grahamville Masonic Lodge #707 and attended Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Charles was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He leaves behind his beloved dog, Pete.

 

Surviving are three daughters, Donna (Garry) Hicks, Jeri (Bruce) Burcham, and Becky (Billy) Hall all of Paducah; grandchildren, Shawna Littlejohn of Symsonia, Kristy (Willie) Kerns of Calvert City, and Corey Andrew (Ada Michelle) Thorson of Benton; and great grandchildren, Hannah K. Thorson, Andrew Charles Thorson, and Brooke Elyse Kerns.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Marie Scott Lovelace; brothers, Billy Ray Lovelace and Jerry Leon Lovelace; and his parents.

 

Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm Tuesday at Scott Cemetery with Rev. Doug Hughes officiating.

 

Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm Tuesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
