Carolyn Mae Thompson, 83, of Paducah, passed away at 6:02 A.M. Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Carolyn was born in Ballard County on May 2, 1935 to John and Roxie Pippin. She was a graduate of Ballard County High School, a member of Reidland Baptist Church and retired as an Assistant Road Engineer with the McCracken County Road Department.
Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband of 62 years, Levi Everett Thompson; her sons, Ken Thompson (Marilyn), of Benton, Larry Thompson (Edita), of Reidland; four grandchildren, Jessica Baxter, Alena Cutrer, Ian Thompson, Aimee Boone; four great grandchildren, Zoran Boone, Zoe Boone, Ethan Kyle, Arylynn Cutrer; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, John Pippin and Roxie Smithers Pippin; her sisters, Mary Meahl, Martha Peal, Ruth Thompson; her brothers, Lewis Pippin, Joe Pippin, Phil Pippin.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Reidland Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Ison officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church Tuesday, from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M.
