Carolyn Faye Lamar, 54, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 3:05 a.m. in her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Carolyn was born on April 4 1962, a daughter of Martha Ross Lamar and the late John Ray Lamar Sr. She graduated from Lone Oak High School in 1980. She leaves behind her best friend and Fiancé, Richard Nowlin, who cared for her through the toughest year of her life.
She was predeceased in death by her father, John Ray Lamar Sr.; her grandparents, Ashley (Buck) and Rachel Garnett Lamar, Everett R and Gladys Lyne Taylor and Ralph Charlton Ross.
Her strength and love lives on in her family and friends; Fiancé, Richard Nowlin, of Kevil, KY. and his children, Tracy Young, Jamie Nowlin, Christi Nowlin. Mother, Martha Ross Lamar, of Kevil, KY. Sister, Barbara Lamar McGowan and husband Brad, of Kevil, KY. Brother, Johnny Ray Lamar Jr. and wife Kathy, of Nicholasville, KY. Son, John Ashley Lamar, of Kevil, KY. Niece, Lauren Lamar, of Bowling Green, KY. Nephews, Johnny Ray Lamar III and wife Sarah, of Burgin, KY. Steven McGowan, of Kevil, KY. Grandchildren, Awystn Lamar, Braylee Lamar, Zoe Lamar, and Brodey Lamar, all of Kevil, KY. Several step-grandchildren, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday January 16, 2017 at Milner and Orr Funeral Home, Paducah, KY. with Bro. Wes Morehead officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited and may call at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. on Sunday, January 15, 2017.
