Carol Anne Hinchey Miller, 55, of Symsonia, KY and Fairbanks, AK, died Monday, May 25, 2015 at her home in Symsonia with her husband and sisters by her side.
Carol was born in Paducah, KY on November 12, 1959 to the late William “Bill” Hinchey and Dean Bomar Hinchey. She was a 1977 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School. Carol was a member of the local chapters of V.F.W. and American Legion. Carol followed her husband, John, to Alaska because of his occupation and soon became an enthusiast of ice fishing, boating, and riding snowmobiles. She enjoyed visiting her family in Kentucky and tending her flower garden.
She is survived by her husband, John C. Miller; stepchildren, Vernon Scott Miller and Jessica Nicole Miller; three sisters, Lyn Carroll of Paducah, Kelly Brandon and husband, Bob, of Paducah, and Lori Bryant of Ledbetter; and six nephews and six nieces.
Preceding her in death were her sister, Pat Sparks; brother, Phillip Hinchey; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Stinson officiating. Burial will follow at Blandville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
