Rev. Brent Ballow, age 61 of Paducah passed away at 11:25 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Mercy Health-Lourdes. Rev. Brent was a member of Covenant Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he had held various positions on boards and committees. He was currently serving the Pleasant Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Ballard County. He had served churches in Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky. He was a graduate of Fulton City High School in 1974, completed the Program of Alternative Studies through the Memphis Theological Seminary for the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Brent loved hunting, fishing, raising vegetables in the garden and sharing those with friends. He was noted for his pickle making and home made salsia.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Harriet Kyle Ballow; one daughter, Dana Ballow Fennell and husband Erik of Paducah; two sisters, Deanna (RC) Moore, Brighton, Tn and Sandra (Pete) Reyna, Murray, KY several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were his parents, William Howard Ballow & Edna Robinson Ballow, one son, Tracy William Allen Ballow and one sister, Glenda Adams.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Revs. Bud Russell, Garrett Burns and Phillip Lane officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
