Boyce D. Ross, 83 of Paducah, passed away at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at his home with his son and daughter by his side. Mr. Ross was born August 24, 1934 in Hickman, KY to the late Rev. R.C. Ross & Lucille Ross. Graduating from University of Kentucky in 1951 with a B.S. Degree in Architecture, he was a registered architect and engineer and was a founding member of the West Kentucky Chapter of American Institute of Architects. Throughout his career he designed many homes and buildings in Kentucky and West Tenneesee. He finished his career with Paducah Housing Authority. He was a loyal member of Reidland United Methodist Church. Boyce and his late wife, JoAnn (McClellan) Ross were married for 58 years. JoAnn was the former director of Paducah Cooperative Ministry.
Survivors include one daughter, Annette ( Brian) Black of Paducah; one son, Boyce Lee (Resa) Ross of Huntsville, AL; two grandsons, Scott(Charlene) Ross and Cody Ross both of Huntsville, Al; two granddaughters, Anna & Abby Black both of Paducah; one great-grandaughter, Kinleigh Ross and three great-grandsons, Andrew Ross, Preston Ross and Tyler Laughlin; three sisters, Delores Davis and Wanda Callison both of Union City, TN, Gloria (James) McMillen of New Albany, MS and one brother, Art (Phoeba) Ross of Union City; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, father-in-law-and mother-in-law; one sister, Joyce Cooper; and one granddaughter LeAnn Laughlin.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday August 17, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Brent Porterfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Cayce United Methodist Cemetery in Cayce, KY. Visitation will begin on Thursday August 16, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
