Betty Jean Houser Schweinhart, 87, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was retired after 32 years of service with South Central Bell Telephone Company in the Engineering Department. Betty was a lifelong member of Arcadia United Methodist Church where she served on the Mission’s and Mininstry Committee and was a member of the Cinnamon Sisters. She was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and was past president of the Pennyrile Chapter. She was a past member of the Lone Oak Woman’s Club where she served as 2nd Vice-President and served on various committees. Betty was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Basketball and watched every game on TV.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Sharron Boeh and husband Dr. Dan Boeh of Boaz, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Shellia Creson of Cordova, Tennessee, Caroline Baesler of Lexington, Kentucky and Lesley Adams and husband Luke of Lexington, Kentucky; eight great grandchildren, Beau Creson of Nashville, Tennessee, Alex Creson and Julia Creson both of Cordova, Tennessee, Tres Baesler, Callie Baelser and Daniel Baesler all of Lexington, Kentucky, Hillary Adams and Hannah Adams both of Lexington, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.

 

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Schweinhart; sister, Barbara Gregory; brother, Bob Houser and grandson in law, Larry Creson. Her parents were Harry Houser and Louise Parrish Houser.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Padcuah with Dr. Paul Mulliken and Rev. Janean Tinsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah.
