Mrs. Anne Elizabeth Crouse Moore, age 86, of Paducah, Kentucky formerly of Calloway County, died at 10:37am Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Moore was born March 15, 1932 in Murray, Kentucky to the late Robert Henry Crouse and Mamie Alice Rebecca Trimble Crouse.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Moore; sister, Roberta Crouse Suiter; and a brother, Vester Crouse.

Mrs. Moore grew up on a dairy farm in the Coles Campground area of Calloway County and played the organ at her church.  She earned a Masters of Art in Education from Murray State College and taught English, Civics, and Physical Education in the McCracken County Public School System.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and all out good Samaritan never hesitating to help a neighbor in need.  She had the courage to fight unpopular battles and was quick to stand with those who she felt were unjustly mistreated.  She drew strength from her faith and love of Christ, and was never short with words of encouragement.  She will surely be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Jean Elizabeth Moore Embry and Kathy Anne Moore Hayes; son, Hal Michael Moore; grandchildren, Keely, Jillian, Matthew, Brett, and Linsay; and seven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 1:00pm Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Coles Campground Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Burkeen officiating.  Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to 12:30pm Friday at the Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home.
