Mrs. Almyria Parker, 81, of Murray died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Spring Creek Healthcare of Murray.

Almyria was born January 9, 1935 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Sam Capps and Ann Mae Arney. She married her husband, Raymond Parker, at age 17 and moved to Crown Point, Indiana where she was a homemaker. They had two children Kathryn Lewis and Curtis Parker. After her children were grown she started working for House of Lloyd Party Plan. She loved to work in sales and won many free trips. In 1989, after her husband retired, they moved to New Concord, Kentucky where they built their dream home on 50 acres. She was a faithful member of the Untited Pentecostal Church Organization. She loved to volunteer for Needline, the Senoir Citizen Center and 4-H Clubs in Murray. She has seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her favorite things were traveling, shopping, canning and talking with friends on the phone.

Graveside services are planned for 1:00 PM on Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Jessie Cavaness will officiate. 

The family will receive visitors between 9:00-11:00 AM on Monday, February 15, 2016, at Imes Funeral Home and Crematory, downtown Murray.
