Thomas Clay Reeves, 80 of Benton, KY passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at 3:50 am at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore, KY.
Mr. Reeves was a retired operator from B.F. Goodrich in Calvert City, KY, part-time painter, and was a lifelong resident of Marshall and Calloway counties. He served in the United States Army in the Howitzer Battalion, 11th Artillery unit.
In addition to military service, Mr. Reeves was a faithful servant and active member of the Benton Church of Christ. He always considered the members of the congregation an endearing part of his family. He is survived by his four children, Patricia Adams of Vacaville, CA, David Reeves (Beth) of Evansville, IN, Jill Reeves of Longmont, CO, and Priscilla Ridenour (Mike) of Stamping Ground, KY; three siblings, Margie Etheridge of Hardin, KY, Carrie Clark of Sharpe, KY, Debra Dick (Randy) of Murray, KY; six grandchildren, Emily Sirk, Jackie Turner, Andrew Adams, Sydney Reeves, Eli Reeves, and Max Thompson; four great-grandchildren, Avery Turner, Emma Turner, June Sirk and Heidi Sirk; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his parents Adelbert Reeves and Lois Tubbs Reeves.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends on September 21, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Benton Church of Christ, 3091 Main Street, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to service hour.
