Teddy Mayo Meyers

Teddy Mayo Meyers, 72, of Murray passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Spring Creek Health Care.

He was born April 9, 1942 in Gary, Ind. to the late Lawrence Meyers and Julia Meyers Cessna. Teddy was retired from Jackson Optical, in Gary, where he was an eyeglasses maker, a trade he learned when he was 15 years old.

In addition to his parents, Teddy is preceded in death by a sister, Francis Vizena.
 
He is survived by two sons, Jamie Meyers of Florida and Troy Meyers of Indiana; a daughter, Jodi Meyers of Vero Beach, Fla.; a brother, Dale Meyers of Portage, Ind.; a sister, Patty Clark of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and lifelong friends, Nolan Miller, Norma Miller and Bertha Miller, all of Almo, Ky.
 
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
