Donald Ruy Farrington, age 54, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, formerly of Paducah, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at his residence.
Ruy was born on July 15, 1965 to the late Ira Donald Farrington Jr. and Carol Shelton Farrington. He will be remembered as a kind, generous and caring man. Whether it was fishing, golfing or hunting, he loved spending time outdoors. Ruy was a huge hockey fan and enjoyed watching Paducah Tilghman High School football, especially the rivalry game against Mayfield. He was a well-known, local percussionist and musician. Ruy was a pilot who enjoyed traveling the country with his friends and family. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Gilbertsville.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Dana Bellamy Farrington of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; his daughter, Michelle Marie Farrington of Murray, Kentucky; his mother, Carol Shelton Farrington and sister, Elaine Lee Farrington; a niece, Ashton and nephew, Hudson, all of Scarborough, Maine.
He was preceded in death by his father, Don Farrington and grandparents, Ira Donald Sr. and Mary Lee Allen Farrington.
A memorial visitation will be held at 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Paducah with Bro. Leon Bellamy Jr. officiating.
