Mrs. Ruth Marie Landreth, age 86 of Symsonia, KY passed away Monday, January 19, 2015, at Oakview Nursing & Rehabilation Center in Calvert City, KY. She was a member of Salt and Light Community Church of God, was a 17 year member of American Legion Auxillary Post 144 in Gilbertsville, KY., and was retired from Florsheim Shoe Company where she worked in the fitting department as an inspector.
Born Tuesday, August 21, 1928 in Fornfelt, MO, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Keesee and the late Essie (Mullinax) Keesee.
Surviving are daughter, Gina Byars and husband Tom of Symsonia, KY, step-daughters, Brenda Landreth of Del City, OK and Janice Casey of Poplar Bluff, MO, sisters, Miriam Roth of Cape Girardeau, MO, Norma Corbin of Cahokia, IL and Delores Eifert of Jackson, MO; grandchildren, Sarah Byars of Symsonia, KY, and Tony Byars of Symsonia, KY, and step-grandchildren, Chad Casey of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Angie Gregory of Poplar Bluff, MO,.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence "Gene" Landreth; brother, Winford Keesee, and sisters, Virginia Knight and June Wunderlich.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Bro. Jim Glover will officiate.
Interment will follow the service in Clarks River Cemetery, Symsonia, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Collier Funeral Home.
