Mrs. Ruth Kimble Littlejohn, age, 92 of the Stilley House of Benton, KY passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Superior Care Home in Paducah, KY.
Born Wednesday, August 26, 1925 in Lyon Co, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Downing and the late Eliza Sikes Downing. She was the wife of the late Ovid Littlejohn.
She was retired from Florsheim Shoe Factory in Paducah, KY, and was a member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church, Benton, KY.
Surviving are daughters, Shirley (Larry) Hargrove of Burna, KY, Dorothy (Frank) Sullivan of Paducah, KY brother, Douglas Downing of Gallatin, TN, four grandchildren, Amanda Houston, Kim Chance, Craig Sullivan and Matthew Hargrove and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, two infant brothers, Vernon Downing, sisters, Nettie Barnett, Nancy Dunn, Nellie Orr, Maudine George, Edna Oliver and Estell Hayes.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Zion's Cause Baptist Church, Benton, KY, Rev. Earl Cathey, Rev. Dr. Charles Frazier and Rev. Douglas Downing will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Zions Cause Baptist Church, 1532 US 68 West, Benton, KY.
