Ronald J. "Ronnie" Higgins

Ronald J. "Ronnie" Higgins, 72 of Gilbertsville, KY died on Sunday, December 1, 2019, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.

Born Tuesday, May 27, 1947 in Murray, KY, he was the son of the late Edgar Higgins and the late Charlene (Davis) Higgins. He was a 1961 graduate of North Marshall High School, a 1969 graduate of Murray State University earning a degree in Accounting. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gilbertsville, Gilbertsville, KY. 

He was a CPA with R.T. Baker and Controller for Quest Pharmaceutical. He was also a farmer on the side and enjoyed the outdoors. 

He is survived by his wife Wanda (Evans) Higgins of Gilbertsville, KY; son, Jason Higgins wife Laura  of Gilbertsville, KY; daughter, Jennifer Higgins and Keith Brinton of Benton, KY; brother, Kevin Higgins of Benton, KY; four grandchildren, Trey Blair, Ty Higgins, Mya Higgins, and baby girl Higgins that is expected in May, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jan Royce Higgins.

A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St, Benton, KY 42025 with Royce Templeton and Rev. Darrell Walker officiating.

Interment will follow in Birmingham Cemetery, Benton, KY.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home.
