Mr. Robert E. Henderson, age 81 of Benton, KY died on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. He was retired from Air Products where he worked as an operator and was a member of North Marshall Church of Christ.
Born Tuesday, February 25, 1936 in Marshall County, KY, he was the son of the late Ray Henderson and the late Gertie (Nanney) Henderson.
Surviving are his son, Robert Keith Henderson of Benton, KY, brother, Ray Henderson, Jr. of Benton, KY, sister, Ruby Smith of Michigan; and 3 grandchildren, Robert Chad Henderson, Katie Henderson and Becky Henderson all of Marshall County, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sonja Ann (Ernestberger) Henderson, son, Jeffrey Allen Henderson, sisters, Lena Fountain, Lalia Ethridge, Ruth Davenport and Beth Thwreatt.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with James Long officiating.
Interment will follow in Wilson Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home.v
