Mr. Rob L. Dick, 78 of Benton died on Monday, February 6 at his residence. He was born June 21, 1938 in New Concord, Kentucky. He farmed and worked at various plants including Tappen of Murray. He was a former member of Cherry Corner Baptist Church and was presently a long-time member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. His family will remember him as a loyal and devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Dick is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn (Thompson) Dick of Benton; daughter Robyn Littlejohn and husband Jeremy of Benton and two grandchildren, Emily and Andrew Littlejohn; a sister Eva Hale Gream (Jim) of Farmington, KY; brothers Willie Dick (Audie) of Murray and Dewey M. Dick (Jerlyine) of Hardin, a sister-in-law Dortha Dick of Murray, as well as thirteen nieces and nephews.
Mr. Dick was preceded in death by his brothers, L.C. Dick and Elzie Dick and sister June Taylor. His parents were the late Ellis Dick and Veopal Dick Glover.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home. Bro. Van Russell will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Hillcrest Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
