Mr. Rick Futrell, 59, of Murray died Thursday, July 21 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital. Rick was born January 26, 1957 in New Orleans, LA to the late Walter B. and Josephine Dowling Futrell. He worked at Vanderbilt Chemical for 20 years, as well as, owned and operated Futrell's Tree Service for more than 30 years. He was member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mayfield. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Futrell. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Futrell of Farmington; a son, Ricky Futrell, wife Samantha of Farmington; a daughter, Ashley Coles, husband Stephen of Mayfield; three step-sons, Joshua and Jeffery Mohler of Murray and Joey Mohler of Farmington; a brother, Sean Futrell, wife Carla of Cadiz; three sisters, Deborah Bland of Ottawa Lake, OH, Dallas Edwards of Sydney, Australia and Kathleen Haley, husband John of Elizabethtown, KY and five grandchildren Jackson Coles, Jordan Coles, Bryce Harmon, Kaylee Mohler and Gauge Futrell. Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM, Monday July 25, 2016 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home. Kenny Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow at the Lancaster Cemetery in Linton, KY. The family will receive visitors between the hours of 5-8 PM Sunday, July 24th 2016 at the Heritage Chapel, 121 N. Bypass in Murray.
