Mr. Ray Robbins, 76, of Cadiz, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House of Murray.

Mr. Robbins was born in Cincinnati, OH on June 22, 1941 to the late Ray Cecil Robbins, Sr. and Emma Jane Pitzer Robbins.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1959-1963.  He was the past president of National Association of Power Engineers in Cincinnati.  Mr. Robbins entered an apprenticeship as a First Degree Mason in Detroit, MI and taught Water Treatment/Application and Boiler/Cooling Safety at Union School also in Detroit.  He was an active Episcopalian where he was in the choir, Lay Reader and Eucharist minister in MI and KY.  He had a career in water treatment for 36 years with Betz Entec and Betz Labs/ Dearborn.

Later in life, Ray retired to Cadiz, KY/Lake Barkley and enjoyed his hobbies of fishing, deer hunting, water skiing, boating and once a month card games with his buddies.  He was also a snow skier and in early years, motor cycling and camping.  Ray also loved to cruise Alaska, Panama Canal, Caribbean, Mexico and anywhere that a cruise ship was going!  He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Cadiz Lions Club.

Mr. Robbins is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Robbins of Cadiz; a son, Ray Cecil Robbins III (Suzanne) of Milford, MI; a daughter, Laura Lee Gonzalez (Thomas) of Los Angeles, CA and four grandchildren, Ray Cecil Robbins IV, Troy Robert Robbins, Ben Richard Robbins and Samantha Marie Johnson (Joe).

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at St John's Episcopal Church in Murray with interment to follow in the Memorial Garden.
