Mrs. Mary Jo Myers Gay, 66 of Benton, KY., passed away Friday, December 19, 2014, at the Marshall Co. Hospital E. R. in Benton, KY. She was a Clinical Nurse Specialist and the Director of Long Term Care for the Marshall County Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith.
Born Sunday, July 25, 1948 in Calloway County, KY., she was the daughter of the late Ed Brown and the late Mahala (Fulton) Brown.
Surviving are her husband, Roger Gay of Benton, KY; son, Richard Hendrickson, wife Laurie of Benton, KY, daughter, Juli Conner of Benton, KY; step-children, Lee Gay, wife Beth of Benton, KY, Lewis Gay, wife Lyndsay of Benton, KY; grandchildren, Chloe, Cayce, Owen, and Haylee Hendrickson, Kayla Keeling Teckenbrock, husband Zeb, Dylan Keeling; and step-grandchildren, Rylan, Rory, Ransley, Lynnley, and Lynnox Gay.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY., with Rev. Joe Daryl Thorn and Rev. Don Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in Pace Cemetery, Hardin, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY.
