Larry S. Harless, 66 of Calvert City, Kentucky went to be with our Lord at 9:14 Monday night, September 22, 2014, at his home.
Larry was a Vietnam Veteran earning 2 purple hearts and numerous medals. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.
Larry made friends wherever he went; he helped many and loved even more. He was of the Baptist faith.
Born Wednesday, March 3, 1948 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Charles Harless and the late Carrie (Holt) Dillon.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Vicki of Calvert City, KY; son, Mark Harless, wife Michelle of Hardin, KY, daughter, Teresa Jones of Mayfield, KY; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Randall of Bloomington, IN, Amber Harless of Mayfield, KY and Caitlin Harless of Hardin, KY. He has been surely blessed to have 5 great grandchildren, Bryson, Brylee, Arya, Everleigh, Emmery, and a precious little girl due any day.
He is also survived by his brother, Rick Harless, wife Cindy of Calvert City, KY, sisters, Mary Kea, husband Bob of St. Anne, IL, Donna Parsley of Brownsville, KY and Betty Hawks of Glasgow, KY
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Rev. Jeremy Short officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow in Cothran Cemetery, Livingston Co., KY.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Collier Funeral Home.
