Mrs. Kitty Cope, age 86 of Benton, KY passed away Friday, January 13, 2017, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, KY.
Born Friday, June 6, 1930 in Marshall Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Bern E. Lovett and the late Lalah (Hill) Lovett. She was the wife of the late Ronnie Darnell Cope. She was a retired Beautician and was a member of Olive United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolya Darnall of Benton, KY and Linda Travis of Benton, KY, step-daughter, Rhonda Burks of Murray, KY, one son, Steve Darnell of Benton, KY, two step-sons, Larry Cope of Murray, KY and Mark Cope of MI, three brothers, Joe Thomas Lovett of Mayfield, KY, Leon Lovett of Benton, KY and Pat Lovett of Benton, KY, and two sisters, Mildred Crouse of Benton, KY and Betty Henson of Benton, KY. Also surviving are six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one step great-grandchild and one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Roy Lovett, Hill Lovett and Wayne Lovett, and three sisters, Mary Nimmo, Madelene Collie and Mavis Golightly.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. Todd Dotson will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the Haymes Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 16, 2017, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
