Mrs. Karon Lee Edwards, age 72 of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. She was a homemaker and member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.
Born Sunday, September 17, 1944, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Edith Lee (Long) Jones.
Surviving are sons, Jeffrey Galen Edwards, wife Brenda of Benton, KY and Brett Wade Edwards, wife Kathy of Benton, KY, and grandchildren, Claire Edwards, Morgan Edwards, Brittany Spalding, husband Adam, Bethany Lyles, husband Evan, Brooke Edwards, boyfriend Brad Frizzell, and great-grandchildren, Braelyn Spalding, Brody Spalding, and Mac Lyles all of Benton, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 51 years, Thomas "Galen" Edwards, and brother, Johnny Wayne Jones.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Dr. Charles Frazier and Jeff Edwards officiating.
Interment will follow in the Marshall County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home.
