Jimmy Gibson, age 81, of Benton formerly of Milburn, KY., died Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, KY. He was a new car service technician for Beardsley Chevrolet in Bardwell, KY. for over 20 years and a member of United Church of God in Lone Oak, KY.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Irene Hendrickson Gibson; father and mother James and Nora Norris Gibson and one grandson Nolan Michael Gibson. He is survived by one daughter, Penny Lou Gibson of Murray, Ky. two sons, David B. Gibson and wife Traci of Benton, KY. and Kenneth A. Gibson and wife Sherri of Farmington, KY. one sister, JoAnne Yates and husband Tommy of Hopkinsville, KY. and one brother David L. Gibson of Milburn, KY. Three grandchildren, Kyle Morrison, Nakiah Nicole Gibson and Hannah Nicole Gibson. One great grandson Jimmy Nolan Blake Gibson.
Graveside services for Jimmy Gibson will be held at 11:00 am Friday April 14, 2017 at Milburn Cemetery in Carlisle County. Rick Beam will officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, friends are asked to join the family at Milburn cemetery for the service. Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Bardwell are in charge of arrangements.
