Jackie Newberry

Mr. Jackie Newberry, 84, of Murray passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Spring Creek Healthcare.

Jackie was born on April 24, 1934 in Golden Pond, KY to the late Jack and Maggie Nibbel Newberry.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Ledbetter Baptist Church.

Those preceding him in death include a son, Scotty Newberry; a daughter, Debbie Newberry; two brothers, Donnie Newberry, Hubert Newberry, two sisters, Gerogie Gibson, Dorothy Turner, one great grandchild, Leo Schecter, in addition to his parents.

Those left to cherish the memory of Mr. Newberry is his wife, Debbie Newberry of Murray; a son, Will Dunn (Rita) of Lebanon, KY; a daughter, Janet Newberry Essary of Murray; two grandchildren, Scotty Schecter (Ann), Josh Schecter (Amanda); one great grandchild, Gavin Schecter; two step children, Chris Jones (Tiffany), Valerie Cunningham; five step grandchildren, Madison, Bailey and Riley Jones, Montana Cunningham, Ethan Torsak and two step great grandchildren, Jaxon and Paisley Reavis.

The funeral service for Mr. Newberry is set for 12 pm on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray.  Sammy Cunningham will officiate and burial will follow at Brooks Chapel Cemetery.

His family will receive visitors from 4 pm - 8 pm on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Heritage Chapel.
