Mr. J. Clenton Henson, age 84 of Benton, KY died on Monday, May 29, 2017, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. He was a self-employed car dealer.
Born Saturday, February 25, 1933 in Marshall County, KY, he was the son of the late Java Henson and the late Polly (Castleman) Henson.
Surviving are sons, David Kenneth Henson, wife Sandy of Benton, KY and Alan Henson, wife Debbie of Benton, KY, daughter, Shelia Lutz of Benton, KY, sister, Verlene Bowerman of Benton, KY, grandchildren, Heather Woods of Benton, KY, Clint Lutz, wife Stacey of Benton, KY, Tammy McKenzie, husband Brian of Paducah, KY, J.C. Crawford, wife Wendy of Clarksville, TN, Terry Jamison of Benton, KY, Brittany Jeter of Benton, KY, Mark Henson of Benton, KY, Matthew Henson, wife Jessica of Benton, KY, Jordon Petty, husband Tyler of Nashville, TN, Ashley Donohoo, husband Andrew of Murray, KY, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, significant other, Ora Flores, and mother of his children, Clara Nell Henson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Donna Henson, brothers, Doyle Henson, Leamon Henson, Joe Henson, Cecil Henson, Milburn Henson, and great-grandson, Jace Henson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th St., Benton, KY. Bro. Joel Frizzell officiating.
Interment will follow the service in Cole Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
